On April 14, 2025 Moodle 5.0 and on May 13, 2025 Moodle Workplace 5.0 were released. These new Moodle versions bring new features and improvements for managing courses, assessing learners and configuring AI tools.
This year we are again offering free information events. We will give you a compact overview of the innovations. This time for the first time also for Moodle Workplace 5.0.
For those who can't wait, the biggest Moodle 5.0 changes at a glance:
- Additions and improvements to artificial intelligence (AI): "Explain" function, functions for managing AI, integration of Ollama
- New activity overview
- Revised question bank with filters and versioning (course question banks)
- New task settings such as penalties (grade penalties)
- Accessibility improvements across the entire platform
