MoodleMoot 2024 starts today in Mérida (Mexico) - some colleagues from eLeDia will also be there.
Traditionally, the Global Partners' Day takes place the day before, where the Moodle Awards have been presented since 2019. And we won another award - for the fourth time in a row - and we're delighted! However, we need to start thinking about where to put the shelf to display the trophies. #firstworldproblems
We are definitely very proud of this award. I, as Sales Manager, am especially proud - because this award depends on the sales that a Partner makes with Moodle products and so no Moodle Premium Partner in the EMEA region has made more sales with Moodle and Co than eLeDia. So thank you to everyone in the eLeDia team for making this possible, it's a group effort!
But even more than that, I would like to thank our customers who have relied on us and trusted us for years. We now host over 4,000 Moodle and Moodle Workplace systems and more are being added every day. Thank you thank you thank you!
By the way, it is a matter of honor for us to be a Moodle Premium Partner and as such to give a part of our turnover to Moodle Headquarters. And we do this for various reasons, here are the three most important ones from my point of view:
We use it to fund the development teams who are constantly developing Moodle and Moodle Workplace - this is important to us because we believe in Moodle and the possibilities it offers. However, Moodle must be continuously maintained and adapted to the needs of learners and teachers, and that costs time and money.
We are allowed to host Moodle Workplace and offer advice and training. This is important to us because we firmly believe that in some cases Moodle is not enough
We are allowed to give the Moodle App to our customers in the Premium Plan free of charge (this full use would otherwise cost our customers almost 500 euros per year) - more information on the differences.
And so a planned factual information becomes a thank-you speech (my first) and a Moodle adulation (not my first). I can live with that.
Best wishes from autumnal Berlin
