Create an online coaching course

How to create an effective online coaching course with Moodle

Coaching often only becomes truly effective with a clear structure and targeted support. With Moodle, you can easily create an online coaching course that optimally supports your coachees. Here are some tips on how you can use Moodle for your coaching:

  • Individual course rooms: Set up a separate course for each coachee - this keeps all content clearly organized in one place.
  • Interactive online sessions: Use BigBlueButton to hold coaching conversations directly in Moodle.
  • Assignments & progress: Post discussed assignments directly in the course and ask for regular feedback via a forum or repeatable feedback forms.
  • Clear expectations: Agree exactly to what extent and at what speed you will provide feedback. This way, your coachees know what they can expect.

A Moodle course is far more manageable than the back and forth via email. What's more, you can simply copy rooms you have created for new coachees. This saves you time and creates a professional structure.
